Hello to all.
Here at last found time for my presentation to the users of this forum.
I'm Marco from Milan Italy, I'm 48y.o. modeller since I was 8.
I do not have a unique modelig passion
I have several cycles I step through different from armor to figurines or aircraft to alternate periods, so I'mregistered in various forums dealing with different topics of this fascinating hobby.
The historical period that I prefer for aircraft is the ww2 but I think the WW1 and the first jet era that I think are the most colorful and interesting, giving us lots of ideas for the realization of exotic subjects.
For the figurines, I love the greek - Roman period and the Napoleonic.
Like almost all of my age I started with the legendary Airfix pochette (the cesna was my favorite), are then passed to more elaborate models and I think I did all models of the legendary Matchbox (1:72), are then finally I'm passed to 1:48 scale with the first Monogram and I did some model in 1:32 but far too big for my home.
In Military I work in classic 1:35 and 54mm for the figures.
I like the out of ordinary and most of colorful and exotic subject, the WW1 is a good example, you could do for the whole life Albatros and Fokker without being able to cover all the liveries used during the war.
I love super detailing my models with aftermarket and scatch, I dislike all stages from research from iconographic reserch to wathering.
Where there are no decals I do masks with my cutter.
I am a fanatic of the colors, I have the complete set of almost all brands on the market, even though I know it'll never use them all (I think I'm a little 'autistic on this).
I use many techniques and materials both during construction to coloring, I like to experiment and most of share my experience with the "friends" of the forum.
I spent a bit of time will read the articles from Des and wip from other users and I must say I have enriched a lot in these days, the level is very high and I like the relaxed atmosphere of the reply without being over the top or an air of superiority.
I hope I can enrich you as you have done with me.
Are a bit lazy in the activities of the forum so you will see the post rather long but with a few upgrades usually 4 or 5 unless I have to explain some of my techniques.
I hope to start posting something I meantime if you have the desire and time you can see my PORTFOLIO to this address

Very nice Models Marco, I especially like the extra efforts you've put into the display bases. The Corsair and Wyvern are beautifully displayed. Welcome to the Forum and I look forward to seeing some of your WWI efforts

Hello Marco and welcome to this wonderful forum. I've just spent some very enjoyable minutes looking at parts of your eclectic and excellent portfolio. Do I detect a fascination with the Bristol F2b Fighter, particularly in its red/white check guise (with both Eduard and WNW examples)? If so, it's a fascination I share!
Best wishes
Nigel
