Got started on my Rumpler, so far the cockpit and engine are underway. Still have some fine tuning to do, but here's what I have so far. I tried interior rigging, but I think it won't be visible when the fuselage is closed up.

Looks great Robert! I'm working on a late Rumpler as well. I'm a bit further along than you. I can't think of any pitfalls along the way...it's a pretty straight forward build other than the fact that the engine is DESIGNED to tilt to the right-don't try to level it ;). Looking forward to seeing what you do.

Rob

That's a gorgeous interior, Robert! You're off to a brilliant start.

I noticed that the engine bearers weren't level when I was dry fitting them. After reading a little more I saw that the engine is supposed to tilt.

Lukas, I haven't decided on the camo scheme yet.

Whatever scheme you pick, Robert, you have made a
terrific start on the interior. Great start, my friend. :D

Oops.............. closed up the fuselage and installed the tail plane, vertical plane, rudder and elevators. Unfortunately I installed the tail plane upside down. The instructions didn't really show a detail so I assumed the curved side would go up. Nope it didn't.
Fortunately everything came apart ok and with a little sanding looks fine.
Anyway I'll have more pics when I get further along.

Making a little more progress. Buttoned up the fuselage, painted the wings and attached the bottom wings to fuselage, and installed the home made turn buckles. Also started attaching rigging to top wing.
