Title: Junkers J.1 top wing
Post by: jknaus on September 05, 2015, 06:15:03 AM
Does anyone know what the consequences are if someone were to not glue in the 2 spars on the WNW Junkers J.1 top wing center section? Does it matter or is this a major issue?
Thanks.
James

When I built my Junkers the wings were a very tight fit when trying to put them into the centre section, I had to sand the large locating blocks so they would slide together with ease, I did add glue before the final assembly which made for a very strong joint. This is a very heavy model so it needs all the help it can get to hold together, especially the undercarriage and wing struts.

Thanks Des. Unfortunately I completely missed the spars and glued the top center section together without them. Not sure if it is worth damaging the wings to pry them apart or not.
