Title: Field applied lower wing cross alterations
Post by: dtomko on August 14, 2015, 01:33:32 AM
It's clear that numerous machines had cross alterations done in the field, and with Fokker Dr.Is, photos seem to indicate olive green paint was used to darken fuselage and upper wing original white cross fields. Would field painters have had turquoise paint for lower wing alterations?  I haven't seen many photos showing under wings, but a couple seem to show a darker paint being used.

Thanks for any help.
