Title: Help - are theselate war models available ?
Post by: Mu17 on August 11, 2015, 03:38:47 AM
Hi,
my first post on the forum.
I'm mainly a rc glider modeller with an interest in German aircraft of all eras - especially late WW1 and late WW2.
I would like to track down some specific models which IF they have ever been kitted, have probably been made by obscure companies that I might not know of........... any suggestions. I'm looking for both 1/72 AND 1/48

SSW D.VI parasol
Pfalz D.VII
Pfalz D.XV
Fokker V20
Dornier D.I (have 1/72)
It my be that
Daimler L11
Aviatik D.VI or D.VII
Finally, a bit off message - and don't laugh - the Linke Hoffmann R.I in 1/72 or 1/144
I'm keen to hear any rumour that these might appear in the future.
Many thanks
Paul

copper state models did do a dornier d.1 in 1/48 but it is out of production. you  can sometime find them on ebay. copper state models was purchased by a eastern european company about 3 years ago. their goal is to  restore all of the masters and re-issue the kits. so far they have only released a handful(6) including a new release of the salmsom moineau sm.1 a totally new kit. they also have promised the release of a new kit in the next few months of an armstrong whitworth fk-8 .their website is here

Thanks Albatros 1234,
as I recall, Copper State Models had a good reputation. I will keep an eye on Ebay but I am happy to wait for a remastered Dornier D.I to materialise.

I am surprised that the Pfalz D.X hasn't been kitted as I thought was mainstream enough !
Thanks
Paul

I remembered that someone was planning a Linke Hoffman R.I kit and found the reference - "ELF Model" had announced it years ago but I can find nothing that says it was ever actually produced. It would certainly be an interesting kit....
