Next is the Messerschmidt BF 109E with my first attempt at pushing the boundaries by detailing up the cockpit including knocking up seat harness; cutting out the molded flaps and posing these down; building up the open wheel wells; opening up gun muzzles and exhaust; reworking pilot figure so he is sitting out knocked up chair. Completed in Romanian markings.

Really nice, Dave. You've done a beautiful job of both,
but I really like the 109...the Romanian markings are
well done and a nice change from the usual Luftwaffe
colours. :D
Cheers,
Ernie :)

Those Airfix 1/24 kits were favorites of mine back when...

Both very nicely done Dave, your paint work is exceptional. Your figures are exceptional as well, a "black art" to this Model Maker!
Well done.
Cheers,
Lance

Wonderful builds both Dave. The 109 looks particularly impressive and as Ernie has written it looks even better in Romanian markings. The figures are superb - just wish I could paint like that.

So you've fallen to the dark side eh? Just kidding my old friend. Outstanding builds, love the Hurricane and your choice of marking for the Bf 109.
