Hi y'all!
We often see pilots wearing (not for flying purpose) long overcoats with a fur collar.
Any idea what the color of those coats is?

dark brown or black would be my guess. there werent all the multicolored leather dyes back then,plus it was a more basic necessity thing not fashion. these werent issued by the military,pilots bought there own. richthofen wore an old beat up coat that he considered to be his lucky coat.
