Hello everybody,
after more than a year I finally finished this little Bébé, it is the machine flown by Francesco Barraca, the leading italian ace.
Cheers

Congratulations Ondra on completing this incredible model, you have done a superb job with all the details on the model and to do it in 1:144 scale is beyond belief, the sign of a true artist, well done.

Amazing work, Ondra! Quite an eye-opener to see what can be
done in such a tiny scale with talent such as yours!
Cheers,
Ernie :)

Truly extraordinary, Ondra! The Bebe is tiny in 1/72 scale, but 1/144?! Insane! But brilliant! Absolutely gorgeous.
Cheers,
Bud

Ondra, this really is something to be proud of. A wonderful model and a great example of the art of scratchbuilding. Congratulations, and thanks for sharing the photos with us. I hope my 1/32 Bebe turns out half as nice when I build it!
-
Beautiful build! Hard to tell it's 1/144. Looks great!
-
Man oh man.....wow...simply stunning, Ondra. Congratulations! Yes, it is a feat to do it so small but to do it so well....as Des says, that is the mark of a true craftsman and artist! I can't wait to forward this to some of my friends.
Cheers from NYC,
Michael

What a little gem!

Many thanks, Des, Ernie, Bud, Rick, KiwiZac, Mike, Big Mike and Thumbs Up for looking in and leaving these nice comments, I appreciate them very much.
I am still far from the degree of an artist, but I am happy to have the opportunity to learn from the masters posting their builds here in this great forum, which I am proud to be a member of.
Cheers

That has just blown my mind - I will take at least a week to recover! As a fellow scratch builder I can only write how utterly impressed I am with this - and in the truly teeny scale too! I could hardly see that even with my eye - loupe, never mind contemplate building one!
My sincerest and heartiest congratulations.
-
this looks great ondra, very impressive what you do in such a small scale.
-
Many thanks, Stephen and Scott, for your comments!
The result is not up to my expectations, but I assume at the moment I would finish a build and say "yes, this is perfect", I would have to quit modelling - there is no fun without looking forward to improvement on the next build. ;)

Very nice model. Hard to belive its 1/144. Maybe you dont, but I agree with Des, real atrist...
Looking forward your next build.

Amazing, Ondra -
Outstanding scratch built Nieuport model but just unbelievable workmanship in such tiny scale.

Dave

Ondra,
Truly talented Builds, I can't believe the detail and quality for such tiny subjects. When we see them all at once their remarkable quality stands out, what's next on the production line?
Cheers,
Lance

Jak, Dave and Lance, many thanks for looking in and leaving such nice comments!
@Lance: currently I am working on an Albatros D.Va, build thread here:
http://forum.ww1aircraftmodels.com/index.php?topic=5436.0 (http://forum.ww1aircraftmodels.com/index.php?topic=5436.0)
Not much done so far, the construction is much more demanding in terms of scratchbuilding (especially in terms of fitting the interior into the not-yet-existing fuselage) than previous builds.
But the slow and steady wins the race, they say. :)
Cheers

Ondra,
I'm truly impressed my friend. Awesome work on such a tiny subject! One question though how do you see what you're building. I'd need an Electron Microscope.
Highest Regards,
Gregory Jouette

I agree! I'm having trouble seeing the detail on my 1/32 kits. James (jknaus) recently did acquire a microscope to aid his builds! :o
I know I would need one to do what you are doing, Ondra!

Ondra, are you kidding? I would go blind. That is beautiful. Pietro

I am really glad you like the result and many thanks to Gregory, George and Pietro for their encouraging comments.
I tried to work with magnifying glass and optivisors (or whatever it is called) several times, but unfortunately I am not able to use them - I lose the sense for depth. But I keep on training. Anyway, so far I have to get along with bare eyes.
Cheers

Thanks a lot for your comments.
And a big sorry for the wrong spelling, thanks for the hint, Ermeio! I corrected it at least in the thread name.
