Title: Sopwith Tabloid in 1/72
Post by: JamesAPrattIII on June 20, 2015, 06:43:45 AM
I would like to have a model of the Sopwith Tabloid in 1/72. Does anyone know where I can get one? I know some companies made one. if not I am looking for a 1/72 scale Eduard Sopwith Schendler that I can convert. It also looks like I could convert a Eduard Sopwith Baby in 1/72 or possibly a Joystick Ansaldo Baby in 1/72 which is available. for the Babies they would need a new fin rudder and tailplanes, a new cowl and to make a smaller cockpit. Any advise?

Airframe and Classic Planes both did vacform Tabloids in 1:72. Keep an eye out on ebay, that's where I got mine, although they don't come up often.

ToyCraft Berg was almost perfect, but it is quite rare nowadays and it commands collector's prices.
It was pricey even when it was released in the late "90s. It is a resin kit, so it is better to verify if the resin has changed during the 20 years that passed.
Eduard's was one of the first kits produced by the Czech firm and so it is basic.
