Does anyone have any spare 1/28 decals for the Camel, and Spad? I pretty much just need roundels, as I found one set of IPMS decals for the personal markings.

Hi Mike
I have a decal sheet for the Revell 1/28 SPAD if you want it.
A sad story - I bought the SPAD as a practice run before touching the WnW Albatros DVa. The SPAD was basically finished, waiting for decals, sitting on my coffee table when we had the first earthquake here. A book case fell down, landing across the coffee table exit one SPAD! Luckily the Albatros was in it's box under the table which luckily didn't collapse so that one survived.
Cheers

Mike,
Are the 1/28 Camel decals you need for a certain old Revell kit that was recently on an eBay auction?

Lindsay, No these are for a Camel I built as a kid, that has been hanging at my dads house since 1976. The cotton thread finally gave out, so I have a rebuild, plus the decals have fallen apart over the years. I have also the Tripe which will need a lot of work.

Oh, well the reason I asked is because I saw a Revell 1:28 Camel (H-291) on eBay last week that looked like it was going for ~$18. I then looked at places like OldModelKits.com and saw that they were asking $65! I didn't end up bidding on it for whatever reason. Kind of wish I had. Anyway, when I thought that you picked it up, I was hoping that you'd do a build log so that I could build it vicariously. Oh well, maybe somebody else on the forum picked it up and will do a thread on it. Hope it went to a good home...
What's the kit like, anyway? Please tell me that I would have instantly regretted spending even $18 on it. :'(

LT, 18$ US is an OK price, if you want the 1/28 kit. They should be available at any model swap meet, I'd think.

Got the decals I need! Thanks to Mr. Haycock, and Mr. Boll.

Happy to have been of service! At least some part of my squashed SPAD was useful.

LT, I have a sealed 1/28 Spad (H-235) if you're still looking.
