This is amazing. They are certainly pushing the envelope on what can be done in an aircraft.
Re: the helicopter: I shouldn't have been watching while I was eating breakfast.....which is now all over the keyboard.

Man, that is some spectacular stuff, Des! Those guy are the best. Here, in California, most of our airshows are performed in relatively sparsely populated areas. There, an accident could wipe out centuries old landmarks. Gutsy!

Pleas can someone tell me how those helicopters did not fall out of the sky? I became airsick just looking at them!! Thank you Des for an amazing demonstration of pure skill in the air.

Variable pitch rotor blades. When the helicopter is inverted, the angle of the blades are pitched the opposite way to keep downward thrust.

Des, we just had the Blue Angels here (Puget Sound) last weekend, but they look pretty tame by comparison. Thanks for sharing that with us.

Variable pitch or not, there is no way I would want to fly upside down in a helicopter ???
I the last week we have had the following aircraft fly over our place;
Super Constellation
PBY Catalina
DC.3
De Havilland Caribou
I love the sound of those big radial engines.
