Evening, chaps! It's 7pm here in Blighty and I'm setting myself the challenge of building this in one evening...

I wonder if 111 Squadron, serving in Palestine, really did take on what would have been obsolete Eindeckers?
Shake the box...

I'll be using Tamiya and Humbrol acrylics for speed :)
Toodle Pip - back in an hour!

Paint drying...

Fun!

You have set yourself a very tight schedule Squiffy, one model in one evening, this will be interesting.

It's now past midnight so, technically is no longer evening and, therefore, I've failed.

I think I can have it finished by lunch time tomorrow. (or should that be today? Sometime after breakfast anyhow...) ;D
Time for bed. TTFN.

Go Squiffy go! You can do it. I knew a modeler that built a Roden Albatros in a Saturday, and even took his daughters to the mall while the paint dried. :)
Press on pard!

Maybe! I've read that Turkey kept its E.IIIs on into 1917,which is when the SE5as arrived in Palestine...

This is a very cool idea. It's like speed chess. It will force you to make quick decisions and up your game!
This should be our next Group Build. It will only take one day! ;D
George

Still, to finish her in 24 hours is remarkable. Brilliant idea, Squiffy.
Cheers,
Bud

I like that idea, George! ;D
This morning I had various things to do, including walking the dogs, so I haven't finished it yet. Here's this afternoon's progress so far...

I've got to pop to the shops now, so will finish it this evening.

I bet the Turks had a shock when the S.E.5s arrived!
23 hours after I started and here we are...

I can't finish in under 24 hours as decalfix works in its own good time but all it needs to finish are for the decals to settle down (some still to be applied), a bit of weathering on the exhausts and a coat of flat varnish all over.

Very good build.

Extremely well done Squiffy to have the model so close to being finished in 23 hours, what a mighty effort.

Thanks, chaps. I'll have to do better next time and beat the 24 hours to completion. :P
