Title: 1/35 A7V German tank
Post by: Dave in Dubai on April 09, 2015, 02:13:40 AM

Just picked up this latest release from Meng- 1/35 German A7V tank.

The model has a fully detailed interior ( apart from an engine), but ony one decal option is included " Schnuck".

Maybe "Mephisto" will be released by aftermarket decal producers later on?

Scale is not quite the same as the WNW hanger but not far off, - it is certainly comparible to the Tamiya Mark IV released last year.

This is good news if anyone wants to create a German tank to go with their WW1 collection.

Thanks Dave for pointing this out, it looks to be quite an impressive model.

Hi Des,

Yes it's a beauty, Meng have really done their homework on this kit , or so it appears to me.

The box is about the same size as the WNW 2 seaters, but is a little deeper, and jammed full of parts.

There is a review of it elsewhere on the internet, but I didn't want to post a link as I suppose it is not really a WW1 aircraft!

However I thought some of the guys here who are interested in the whole WW1 genre might be interested in it's release.

Kind regards,

Dave

PS - I wrote to the guy at Archer Dry Transfers yesterday to see whether he would be interested in producing a  custom decal set for "Mephisto" so I will keep you posted when he writes back.
