Has anyone built this kit???

I have it in my stash and am very intrigued. Having built neither resin nor short-run kit before, I would like to know the pitfalls well ahead of time.
Thanks.
Cheers from NYC,

Have a look here Michael, Justin was not impressed with the kit at all.

I was tempted to buy the kit but after reading what Justin said I abandoned the idea.

A possible clue might be the kit title....
Hansa Brandemburg?

i find omega kits to be on par with a copper state kit when eric hight was making them, buildable but prepare to do some work. top on the line resin is karaya and bottom was the old hr stuff. i have a few omega kits but havent built any yet.

The kit is probably buildable so long as you aren't too bothered by the inaccuracy, don't mind filling and sanding, and are prepared to scratch a few replacement parts
Well, with that endorsement let me quit my day job and jump right in.
I just read through your build log, Justin. The resin in my kit actually looks pretty decent. Perhaps this would be a good kit to use as a first "bridge" between Wnw kits and a first attempt at scratch building, especially since the Taurus O.U is now available.
Either way, it's way down the line for me. I have long since planned a diorama of it on a section of U Boat trying to be stowed in high seas...crewman hanging onto a strut to keep from being washed over the side, that sort of thing.
Plenty to do in the meantime.
Thanks for giving me a heads up. FWIW, I think your build looks super and I do hope you'll finish it!
Cheers from NYC,
Michael

Hi Guys,
We have a 1:48 plans feature on the W.20 coming up in our Spring number due in a few weeks' time. Interesting modelling subject to be sure.
Cheers,
