This book arrived today, not read yet but it appears to be very interesting, hard cover over 420 pages.

Hi Des :)
I read on the Web some time ago about the legal battles between Wright and Curtis, and indeed Wright and just about every other aircraft builder who used an aileron! The disputes apparently set back aviation development in the US many years. Also mentioned some very interesting information regarding aileron development and the person who appears to have first patented it many decades before the first heavier than air aircraft got airborne. OK, I'll shut up now, I don't want to ruin the plot! ;) I have no doubt you will find it fascinating.
cheers.

I enjoyed it thoroughly Des--I'm sure you will too!

You're right Bob, I did thoroughly enjoy the book, A fascinating insight to what went on in those early days of flying and the fight for patents. I would recommend this book to anyone who has an interest in early flight.
