Ok, I know the anemometer is on the wrong scheme. I couldn't resist it. You may notice too that I have fluffed the drag wires due to inattention. They shouldn't cross over. Fun though.

Ah, finally, a "Meerkatze"! I love it - thank you, Drdave, for sharing!
Richard
P.S: Say, why did you do it in a light blue finish?
-
I had a buff in one hand and a duck egg blue I the other. The blue won. I can't see why they would paint some blue and some cream?
-
Whatever the colour and whatever the mistakes, that is a really terrific model. I have liked the Roland since Airfix released their 1/72 version in the mid-1960's but that is in a class of its own. Wonderful stuff.

Cheers!

Beautifully done Dave, the overall finish is superb with excellent weathering, this is a very stunning looking model.

She's a beauty, Dave! Outstanding finish and very cool scheme.
Cheers,

Excellent work all around! Love the scheme!

Very nice! How did your fuselage fit together? Mine had a little gap in the bottom near the wing root which took some adjusting. Thanks for posting your photos
-
It is about having fun, isn't it? And the anemometer is like a cherry on the cake top! Lovely build, Dave!
-
The fit is great, but the lower wing fuselage joint needs Mr surfacer. All In all the fit was superb as usual.
-
Hello,
beautiful model.
I send you a photo of another plain of Lt. Carl Allmenroeder and his observer Lt. Lubarsch at the Feld-Flieger-Abteilung 18.
I got the photo from the Allmenroeder family
Best regards
Bruno

Haha great thanks Bruno! ;D
I'm doing a Bavarian DV next then I think a Jasta 30 striped DVII again!
-
Very very nice. I like it a lot.

Hello Dave,
if I can be of some help, let me know.
Unfortunatly a number of wrong colour profiles circulation in the model world.
Fokker D VII, Jasta 30 with stripes. I don't know the colour, but based on my theorie, they could be red/white or yellow/white.
I will give more details on this Fokker D VII (I did not have when the book was written) as a chapter "New results of reserach - Jasta 30" in our "Royal Bavarian Jasta 23 book. The book will contain around 300 photos of Jasta 23 and 64 colour profiles.
A lot to do for modellers.
Many greetings from Germany
Bruno

I was going to use the Pheon decals. Orange wing and tail, orange nose, black and white diagonal fuselage?
-
I really like the Whale and you did a beautiful job on it !
