Some while ago, my daughter bought me this for my birthday (having asked if there was anything in particular I wanted...)....

Now that it is done, I am giving it to her as birthday present --- something to dust, you know....
It is a Seversky P-35, from the Special Hobby kit, in 1/72 of course. It is finished in kitchen foil, slightly aged by boiling with egg-shells.
A bit of background on the type and the build can be found here:

She is a wonderful young woman and we are very proud of her.

Very nice OM, and a touching tale too.

A lovely little model OM, and thanks for the link to the aircraft history, it is very interesting.

Thanks for posting this OM. I've always loved that a/c, that era, etc., and you've done a great job on the kit.

Outstanding work on this kit as you always do! Even better that it was a gift from and to your Daughter! One I would like to do in 1/32nd some day...if I can find a Williams Brothers kit!

Very nice, OM and even better from your daughter. The
foil really looks great on it! :D

Another of your gems. I especially like the finish and the novel method of achieving it. So much to learn from fellow modellers…...
