....make it so Number One.....
Steve

OK...So how many of you "Fokker Fans" wet your pants at that first photo??
Be honest now.... :D :D :D :D. Great shots, all of them and it looks like that Roden
DH-2 is going back in the box!
Jim
-
Well I didnt wet them but there was movement............
Steve
-
I know what you mean. I'm not a real big fan of the fighters of the later years
but, I just might buy one of these if there are any left after that first run on them.
BTW, not a big fan of the BfPFW-10919051 Spitstang Mk999 either. ;D ;D
Jim
-
Thats known as being an Alternative Modeller...
Steve
-
Ohhh.....and all this time I thought I was a Heretic. ;D ;D ;D
Jim
-
they look so fantastic - again cannot wait - those are all must haves despite not really needing more kits to add to my unbuilt stash
:)
-
Very impressive and encouraging. My wallet quivers..........
Thanks for posting them Des.
Cheers,
Lance
-
Thanks for posting these :)
And yes, I'm another one who 'must have' all of these kits, even though i have no hope to keep up with their development rate!
-
Excellent - thanks Des :)
I must have that E.III, must....
-
Thanks Des!
Pants = wet! ;D

I feel a sudden surge in the model economy. Thanks for sharing this bit with us Des.

Awesome! The Eindekker looks amazing! Still drooling over that one...
-
OH!...... time to replan things soon then I may have to cancel the next D.Va build I had planned. X's fingers
-
The WnW Eindekker is nearly on par with the Battle Axe E.III I built a little while ago :D :D ;) Seriously though, the Eindekker is on top of my list at the moment, it looks brilliant.

Credit card is revving hard, hand brake is on, waiting for the green light. After seeing the TVAL Snipe repro that is the one at the top of my list
-
Snipe and Tripe, Snipe and Tripe, Snipe and Tripe...!! 8) 8)
-
Snipe and Tripe, Snipe and Tripe, Snipe and Tripe...!! 8) 8)
Trackpad has said it all for me. Either/or but hopefully both soon. Wonder where the "phantom" DVII fits into the calendar??
Cheers,
Lance

A DH2.
Yipee!
-
I'm almost tempted to try a big DH2 myself ! Still want the EIII and DVII. I would have them built by 2035 at my build rate.
-
Wow - finished at 835pm - thats fast!!!!!.......
Steve

You know as much as I want a couple of Fokker D.VII's if it's released at the same time as the Sopwith Tripe or the DH-2 the D.VII's will have to wait. I'll need at least two Tripe's too for a long planned RNAS diorama .

Well, whatever is coming down the pike, I'm sure it's goin to be gobbled up pretty quickly.
-
Lyle,
Of that there's no doubt with all we WNW fanatic around my friend.

Without a doubt, Wingnut Wings has become the major player in regards to WW1 model aircraft kits, they produce a superb product, a very desirable product, and a product which has captured the interest of the modeling community world wide. Even modelers who have never built or never had the desire to build a WW1 aeroplane model are now turning towards Wingnut Wing kits. I echo what Lyle said, whatever Wingnuts produce it will be a certain hit purely because of their already outstanding reputation, quality of the kits, excellent detail, ease of build and very reasonably priced product. Over time, Wingnut Wings will continue to attract many more modelers to WW1 aviation, and with over 50 kits in various stages of development the future for not only WW1 aircraft modelers but for Wingnut Wings looks very bright indeed.

With the funds, set-up & experience WNW have garnered, I suspect that they will move into the inter-war market once they have exhausted the WW1 market.
-
They've got a long with that yet, I'm waiting for them to do some of the French aircraft, particularly the Spad series, I understand Roden do them but I cannot stomach having an instruction booklet without all the gorgeous photos etc... I think WnW has forced me to be unable to go back to "conventional" modelling (i.e. with black and white manuals)
-
Does anyone else keep coming back to the first page of this thread just to ogle those close ups again? I seem to every day.
Lord knows I dont need more kits but I just cannot wait for this next batch from WNW....
-
I think and eindekker, one/two Tripes, a few DVIIs......
... and then a RoG He-219, and a B-25.....

The comment about first time and beginning WWI modellers building WNW kits is certainly true. I think that as we approach the 100 years anniversary of the great war there may be more interest that develops. That, co-incidentaly would be a great time to release the much anticipated high-end kits.
-
I used to check the site daily, but I've pretty much given up for now. The time when I could have ordered five or six D.VII's has come and gone. I'll get one when I get one I guess.
-
Fokker boy,
You and I are certainly in the same boat, if not pulling on the same oar. :)
Jim
-
My finances are a real mess at the moment, and staying alive and paying for a roof over my head are just more important than some more models for the dungeon. Darned shame really, as my plight is not of my own making. Oh well, life rolls on.
-
I've just realised that the Fokker D.VII has NO RIGGING.
Is that right?
If so, it could sell millions, surely?
-
People I know who avoid WW1 aeroplanes like the plague do so for one thing that strikes terror into the hearts of the most skilled modeller - rigging.
A legendary plane like the D.VII that is also a handsome looking aeroplane. Add in no rigging and surely that's a kit that will sell to WW1 nuts like us and those who have avoided it until now?

TRIPLANE...TRIPLANE...pant,pant....TRIPLANE
