Title: Spad XIII with starter dog?

I would like to built a Spad XIII of 94th Aero Squadron in post-armistice service in germany 1918/1919 in combination with a Hucks Starter.
But I don`t know exactly the introduction of the Ford Hucks Starter in unit services and the usage of starter dogs with those aircraft types.
