Title: SSW D IV conversation
Post by: radio on January 17, 2015, 04:09:10 AM
It will be the plane from Vzfw Karl Bohenkamp Jasta 22.
I make parallel to my D III early an D IV conversation.
I use there for the Koster SSW D IV, the new Eduard SSW D III overtrees, Aviattic 5 colour Lozenge, and from Karaya SH III and LMG 08/15.
Most of parts are use from Eduard.

Lower wings of the hull sawed off parts of Koster and Eduard kit and ground.
Next parts glued into the fuselage halves, floor, front bulkhead and belt box on the upper fuselage.
Then everything primed inside.

The left and right fuselage side is almost ready. In addition, the throttle control with linkage is right.
Also the cockpitfloor is almost ready. In the front wall the tank and rear engine holders with carburettor part is right.
The upper front body part are still absent the MG `s.

Have just found that does not fit the spur area and must be changed.
These truncated tail sidd length of 15 mm and shaped, and extends the spur fin and given new form.
Applied more woodgrain decals and painted over with Clear Orange.

The crosses are on the underside, also the side ruder. And work to the top wing goes on.

 Martin,
She's looking more beautiful with each new update my friend. Keep up the excellent works. She makes me wish that there were a D.IV in 1/32 scale or at least a conversion for the Roden kit.
Highest Regards,
Gregory Jouette
