Have you ever had one of "those" builds where everything which could go wrong did go wrong? I've encountered (my own doing mostly) paint problems, fit issues, losing parts, breaking parts, CA glue disasters, etc.
I'm a little ways in on a WNW Sopwith Pup and I'm getting to the point where I'm starting to hate the kit. I just can't seem to get enthused about building it.
Maybe I should just put it aside and come back to it later and give it another try.

Robert, sometimes the best answer to things like this is to just step away from it for awhile. It will be there when you're ready to get back to it.

Yeah, you're probably right. I think one of the problems is that the kit was a gift and I didn't particularly want the Pup, but I didn't want to hurt my daughter's feelings. Maybe I'll get back to it one day.

Just walk away and leave it alone for a while, it may only take a few days to get your mojo back but then it might be one of those kits where it takes months before you get the urge to start it again, what ever the case don't give up on it, it is a great kit and builds up to be a really nice model, your daughter will be extremely pleased to see the finished model.

I agree with Des. Walking away from it for a while will give time to reflect on the best way ahead. A period of reflection has helped me so far in all but one case - that of an Eduard Sopwith Camel, but more of that anon!

Yes, happened to me as well. My Fokker DVII (Eduard, 1:48 scale, the markings that Terri and Bo are working on) refused to accept her landing gear. In the end, afterstaying away for a year and to unsuccessful recovery tries, it was binned.

Yep, thought I had the WNW Albies all figured out after building 3. Then #4 became the build from hell! Had to step away from this one for a while.

You can see mine in the Hall of Shame Section :-[ My most frustrating ones were the Roden SE5a that was rigged and just needed some final touches...then knocked off of the display case, and the Roden SPAD VII, after a couple of years I finally overcame the cowl fit issues and then had trouble with the rigging. Still awaiting another try!
