This thingy took a bit longer than I had planned on, so it gathered some dust while a couple little Fokkers got in the way. Hope it doesn't show in the photos.
I built this in conjunction with my WNW Tripe and made a lot of changes to the kit to try and bring it up to WNW standards. Don't think I quite reached the mark, but I'm happy with her. Rather than describe the modifications, here's a link to the build log:

She turned out to be a beautiful looking model Bud, the changes you made certainly have enhanced the original kit, the colours and overall finish are excellent, well done.

Bud,
A Brilliant piece of work from start to finish! Your added details bringing it up to WNW standards were/are incredible! Lovely colors and weathering is perfect. I can't say enough about this one!

Brilliant, Bud. But for the last photo, I would not be able to tell the difference between the WNW and Eduard ones!

Beautiful work Bud.

The finish looks great! I really like the subtle shading. The pump on the center section strut is pretty nifty too.

has to be the nicest eduard tripe around bud, the only reason you think it isnt as nice as your wnw is cuz you know what you had to do and you are looking at them side to side. i assure you looking at those first photos above its hard to not think it is the wnw kit.bravo

Thank you so much for your generosity, my friends. Makes me all toasty warm inside. Or maybe it's the NyQuil with a brandy chaser. Damn cold just smacked me in the face about an hour ago. At any rate, your comments sure make me feel better.
Cheers,
Bud

Bravo! A super piece of work, Bud. I really like what you've done with a model that has had its frustrations for me.
Best wishes

Great one Bud!
A superb build which is well up to your usual high standard. Looks really small next to your 32nd WNW tripe.

Beautiful work, Bud! And I agree; it's nice to still see 1/48 getting its due.

Bud both builds are exellent.
It was very nice to follow your work.

Excellent work, Bud. As many have said, to tell the difference
between your Eduard and WnW versions is really tough.
You have really outdone yourself, my friend!
Cheers,
Ernie :)

That is a superb build. Never mind the shortcomings that you know about… I cannot see them and I think that you have done a magnificent job with that. Congratulations.

Thank you all for the kind comments. I had planned on doing another 1/48 Tripe with the earlier Pup tail, but I'll wait on that one. re-doing all those rib tapes was a bit of a chore. Fun, though.
Cheers,
Bud
