Welcome all lovers of Roland D. VI b.
I'm going to make his, in the scheme of painting:
(http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/malutki352/Roland%20D%20Vib/Rol0023.jpg) (http://s1101.photobucket.com/user/malutki352/media/Roland%20D%20Vib/Rol0023.jpg.html)
(http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/malutki352/Roland%20D%20Vib/Rol0021.jpg) (http://s1101.photobucket.com/user/malutki352/media/Roland%20D%20Vib/Rol0021.jpg.html)
At the beginning of painstaking work cut out elements.
(http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/malutki352/Roland%20D%20Vib/Rol0001.jpg) (http://s1101.photobucket.com/user/malutki352/media/Roland%20D%20Vib/Rol0001.jpg.html)
I fixed the location of the inspection holes:
(http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/malutki352/Roland%20D%20Vib/Rol0036.jpg) (http://s1101.photobucket.com/user/malutki352/media/Roland%20D%20Vib/Rol0036.jpg.html)
On the left sides of the fuselage will leave open:
(http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/malutki352/Roland%20D%20Vib/Rol0016.jpg) (http://s1101.photobucket.com/user/malutki352/media/Roland%20D%20Vib/Rol0016.jpg.html)
The first painting:
(http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/malutki352/Roland%20D%20Vib/Rol0004.jpg) (http://s1101.photobucket.com/user/malutki352/media/Roland%20D%20Vib/Rol0004.jpg.html)
Imitation wood structure....

.....and interior gray green:

I can see VERY subtle darker areas when I study the photos closely. To me, he has achieved a very nice balance and I prefer the subtle look over the often seen over done very dark outlines. JMHO here of course.

looking good, but I am just wondering if the stencil should be there after repainting the fuselage - what I mean is that unprobable the US crew to repaint the stencil after they painted the fuselage in those strange colours and keep them in German language. I may be totally wrong though, just thinking out loud, I haven't see any pictorial evidence and nor I have been looking for it actually.
Best regards,
Sasho

It would seem to me that photographic evidence is in the first post to this thread. Wonderful build Jacek

This aircraft was in American hands in 1918 at Koblenz according to the information in the Wingnut Wings instruction booklet. As illustrated it was not, like the McCook Field Dayton OH. one (7502) re-painted. I think Jacek's choice of schemes is in original German colours with the serials etc. clearly visible?
Sasho, are you confusing it with 7502/18 as shown in experimental camouflage?
And YES, Jacek, really beautiful Build!
Cheers,
Lance

Ah yes, this is the reason! This just not the experimental camo I was htinking of, my bad :)

Each opinion on Roland is pleasantly heard !
Please yet one opinion on the turnbuckles.
Which one do? A or B

I think "B" the best. So difficult to replicate turnbuckles at such a small scale
DocG

"B"

excellent work. "B," and, you see no need to buy turnbuckles.

Thank you all for your voice.
I choose "B"
