Either that or we modelers are nuts. Just looked to see if the W.29 was any cheaper and found the new WNW Duelists 2 W.29 and Felixstowe F2a kit for $555.00.

think of it as kit scalping

So, one wonders, if I bought it today, could he or she ship it within three days? If so, how did he or she get hands on one?
-
no they just hope theres some idiot that might buy it. they are probably right. i see wnw kits sell for more than they cost retail plus shipping. why would someone pay $5 to $10 more plus $10 shipping for a kit they can use the same paypal acct and order direct from wnw.

I absolutely love everything about our hobby, but when it comes to paying ridiculous prices for out of commission kits I draw a big fat line!
If it's gone, it's gone. Why sweat over it? Spend the money on your nearest and dearest or give some money to help with the running of this forum... Now that's money well spent!

i have to agree bob, this is why i havent even thought of paying the crazy ebay prices on the oop wnw hansa or whatever.

Speaking of high prices..... I noticed that somebody posted a WNW RE.8 on the board and is asking $200.00 plus shipping.

I'm not 'having a go' at anyone in particular, but nobody should complain about about anyone's ASKING prices. No one has to pay them. Just like when kits were available at regular prices direct from Wingnuts site, you choose to buy, or not to buy.
yeah… I don't understand all the railing at Econ 101 at all.

Yeah, if they couldn't sell 'em at that, they wouldn't come. There's a sucker born every minute.
Reminds me of a time back about 2000. There was a buyer named "Redaxe", and he'd get in bidding wars with people over Blue Max kits that were still currently available. I mean he'd pay $125+ for a $45 kit that was available via mail order. Over on the WWI Modeling List, we'd laugh our rear ends off at it, and then scramble around in our stash wondering if we had a BM kit to tempt hm with. :o
