I am Jamie Gagnon. I have been lurking here for a while. I've posted a couple of questions and received helpful replies. I am a Canadian (Kitchener, Ontario) two weeks from my 60th birthday. I've built models off and on for 50 years. I have bumped into some of the posters here before on other forums/lists. I like the tone of this forum a lot, so I have decided to poke my head out of my usual turtle shell.

Welcome aboard, Jamie. You are absolutely correct on the "tone" of the Forum. A lot of great folks willing to share, full of knowledge, and ready to help. You'll really enjoy being here! Looking forward to your contributions, and welcome again from the "Great White Frozen North"!
Cheers,
Lance

Hi folks;
Ernie, I think Southern Ontario is trying hard to rival Saskatchewan for cold. We've had some pretty cool weather here since the beginning of November; sub zero temperatures more than half of that month. They are forecasting freezing rain for tonight. I'm a Canadian, weather is bookmarked in the Entertainment folder on Firefox.
Bud, I know you from the mailing list thanks for the welcome. And the same to the rest of you.

Hello Jamie and welcome to the forum, so nice to see you here. I'm on the South Coast of New South Wales Australia and we have just started our summer, we will have many days over 40ÂșC in the coming months, your snow sounds very tempting :)

Thanks for the personal greet, Des. I'll let you keep the 40 degree stuff, the cold suits me fine.

Jamie, welcome. I'm a relative newcomer here too. After joining and fleeing other modeling forums (forii?) I am so glad to have found this one. I live in southern Colorado at 7000 feet, a town with no stop lights and one modeler... that would be me. This place is modeling home and I hope you find it to be the same.

Greetings from Alberta :)

Thanks Rick, eindekker and Terri. There seems to be a sizeable Canadian population here.
