Here are some pics from my latest build. WnW DH.2 kit with HGW detail set and Taurus resin engine.
I added some details inside the nacelle with copper wires.

Oh, my, Rahmi! This is truly lovely! I'm really looking forward to following this build.
Cheers,
Bud
-
Beautiful Start! I have just added this kit to my wish list so I will be watching your build for pointers!
RAGIII
-
It looks very good.
Martin
-
I like it. Mine is just a stage or two behind yours but I have had problems interpreting the 'wiring/tubing' from the Datafile and other sources. The kit's doubled 'tubing' on the port side seem to represent wrapped/sheathed pipes - but don't know what material/colour this was. Your copper wiring to the fuel-gauges on the starboard side look the business though.
Cheers,
Graham
-
Thanks a lot for your comments! Graham i used page 23 of Osprey's DH.2 vs Albatros D.I/D.II as reference for wiring. Copper wires will be coating with matt varnish, for oil pulsators (according to Osprey) i used my initiative :P
I worked on the engine last night, here is so far

the engine is great, is this the Taurus engine? Awesome build, few DH2 are being built at the moment and all are progressing into stunning models
-
Thank you! Yes this is the Taurus engine.
-
This is looking fantastic so far, the added details in the cockpit and the work on the engine are superb, the propeller looks magnificent.

Great start, Odysseus! It seems we are witness to a birth of a fantastic model!

You've made a great start on this Odysseus. I can't wait to see how things develop.

Terrific work your build and painting.
Martin
-
Wonderful start, Odysseus! The cockpit looks amazing and
the addition of the copper tubing adds so much! I am really
impressed with your start of the engine...great staining and
attention to detail. I look forward to enjoying the rest of your
build.
Cheers,
Ernie :)
-
I really like your prop , did you use pencil crayon or is this done with oils ?
Terri
-
Thank you all for your kind comments :) Terri i used Faber color pencils for painting prop like Bertl's tutorial.
-
Very, very nice! I'll be following this build with interest as I have the kit on my 'to do' list also.
Cheers,
Chris
-
I have this Kit in the building stage as well, and am adding the Taurus Engine. Your interior and prop are beautifully done, hope mine turns out as good as this. I'll be following closely, you are a little ahead of me and I am long overdue for an update.
Cheers,
Lance

Hello to all,
Very beautiful, I keep on watching !!! ;)
Best regards.
Alain.
-
Love the details in the cockpit - but your Prop is my real favorite ;)
Servus
Bertl
-
a superb job very very drunk early
-
The prop does look spectacular indeed. However, British props were glued from layers of the same wood, they were usually not so colourful as German ones. :-[

I couldn't put it better, Bud. Ramhi, you are setting new standards!

Very good job !!!!
-
Excellent work so far. I don't yet have the guts to tackle something with so much rigging.
-
The propeller is spec-ta-cular. I like it.
Stefan

Excellent work

Thank you guys for all kind words and comments!
I painted all PC10 surfaces. I am not sure about early PC10's color tone in 1/32 scale, i used all drab paints for painting and shading (olive, khaki drab etc.) I will add more shades after decalling. Here is so far

Your marvel model is developing further. The paint work is spectacular!
-
The paint job is very fine and subtle... I love this way of working !

michel
-
Very nice job on the shading , looking forward to your next up-date .
Terri
-
Mmmmmmmmmm nice
-
Your shading looks FANTASTIC! Lovely work to this point!!
RAGIII
-
I agree with all the above. The British aircraft were not exactly bright and colourful so this shading brings so much more to the model.
-
Rahml, the DH is coming along beautifully. I particularly like the tonal
variation of the paint on the fuselage. The shading is very well done,
and of course the engine is gorgeous! Looking forward to the next
updates.
Cheers,
Ernie :)
-
Beautiful paint work, Rahmi! Your PC10 looks perfect for the DH2.

Bud

Superb build until now.
Martin

Absolutely OUTSTANDING work on the rigging of the wing cellule! This is really looking like a DH2 now! That pilot will really set off the whole thing!
RAGIII
-
Hello to all,
I like a lot painting shades. Excellent !!!
Best regards.
Alain.
-
The painting of those wings is excellent, as is your shading of the rudder. The pilot's figure was chosen very well - I really like that guy.
Stefan
-
Thanks!!!
The model just finished. I will post my Dh.2's photos in completed models section soon.

-
Absolutely stunning, Rahmi! Typical of your very fine work. The pilot figure really gives you the idea of how small this kite was.
Cheers,
Bud
-
Well, this has been quite an odyssey to follow, Odysseus.
Really fine work!
May I ask who made the gun?? Is it aftermarket?
Cheers from NYC,
Michael
-
Thank you Bud! I agree with you about the pilot figure.
Thanks Michael! I used kit's parts for it. Only add a few small detail parts from HGW set.
-
I just began looking at your build of the D.H. 2 and all I can say is this is just superb!
-
Fantastic build.
Martin
