All,
Completed my WNW Albatros DV in the markings of Oliver Beaulieu-Marconnay, Jasta 18, late 1917. Built mostly OOB with just a few tiny additions here and there. One or two build flaws but overall I'm happy with the result. Build thread here http://forum.ww1aircraftmodels.com/index.php?topic=4201.0
Regarding the rigging, this was my first attempt at using Bob's Buckles tube and eyelets for simulating turnbuckles. Made some mistakes to begin with and they took me a while to get used to handling these tiny eyelets and tubes. However, once I got the hang of them (I found using a small blob of blue tac worked a treat when handling the tubes while threading the line through them) I found them to be excellent and actually made rigging more enjoyable and faster - they look really good too.
Many thanks to all those who supported me along the way.
Regards
Dave

Dave,
Very nice work from nose to tail, the rigging looks great and the colours are very eye catching. I like your idea on Blue Tac in the buckling process, I'll be shamelessly adopting that technique as of instantly!
Well done, congratulations on a first class Build.
Cheers,
Lance

Very nicely done Dave, the colour scheme is really striking and your application of Bobs tubes and eyelets turned out extremely well, you should be very proud of this build.

A very nice one. I like Jasta 18 birds very much. Congrats, Dave. And yes, Bob's rigging accessories are very very useful!

Lovely work on your Albie - well done!
Thanks for the great comments, guys.
Tamiya tape works well for handling weeeee buckles ;)

Very well done - i really like the transparent blu colour.
I found using a small blob of blue tac worked a treat when handling the tubes while threading the line through them
And thank you very much for that idea - i will give that a try myself.

Having seen this nearly complete last week I have to say that the photos do not do it full justice. This was the first WNW model that I had seen for real and I have to say that I was extremely impressed. I was equally impressed by your painting - done with a hairy stick - flawless. I think that this is a genuine prize-winner - one to be truly proud of. (Your Fokker D VII and Nieuport 28 were also excellent BTW).

Gentlemen -
Again, thank you all for your kind comments - I actually think this is not my best paint job (with exception to the prop work) so really pleased you all like it.
