Hi all,
Last week in Telford, I've picked up several Wing cockpit figurines.
And I couldn't resist starting work on one of them of course :-)
This is the RFC pilot, sculpted by Benoit Cauchies.
This figurine is a pure joy to paint!
I'm using Life Color acrylics.
The head is done, now on to the rest of the body :-)

Beautifully done Flip, the painting on the face is extremely well done, looking forward to seeing the rest of the figure painted.

Flip,
this is again very imressive painting of leather. Did you use the same approach that you explained for us on your leather seats?

That is a beautiful start to painting this figure! The face looks outstanding as does the flying helmet!

That is a fantastic face. My biggest issue with painting figures is the skin tones. Beautiful work.

Thx guys!
@Stefan: yes indeed. I've used the same techniques for the leather cap.
@James: My biggest issue with painting figures is the skin tones.
Do you mean you find it difficult to select the right tones? Life color sells a skin color set, that contains 6 skin tones (base color, lights & shadows)

Thanks for the tip on the Life Colour skin tone set, this sounds like the right place to start.

As others have mentioned, that's a beautiful job you've done so far on the figure Flip.
Could one of y'all direct me to a thread where Flip explains how he does leather seats?
Thanks!
