I'm slowly getting back into modeling. It seems I only model world war one airplanes, my last one way back in 2005. It was a scratcbuilt DH-10. I am really fascinated by large scale rc models using FPV. Perhaps that is one way of fulfilling a dream of flying a N17, just "scaled" down a bit. It appears the hobby has progressed a bit since I last looked.

Welcome aboard, Candice! So glad you finally found us. I remember your marvelous DH-10 and your gorgeous Pfalz Dr.1. Your work inspired me when I first got back into modeling. Please post photos of these beautiful models. Folks, this lady is a true artist.

Welcome Candice, Glad you found us! I too remember you from the list. Do you still have your 1 to 1 Nieuport under construction?
You were about ready to leave the list when I joined. I remember your DH10 and others. Would love to see you post them here in the Completed Models section!

it is nice to see some familiar names here. I haven't built anything since the DH-10 back in 05' and now just getting a work area set up so I can relax. My attempt at a full scale N17 didn't work out so well, so I need to "scale down" a bit. ;) I still have a huge stash of kits, I just need some inspiration to strike me. Unfortunately I don't have any pics of any models I have buit, however the kit review site on MM still has some of my stuff. My favorite was always my "Recon" Nieuport.
ANyway....thanks for the warm welcome.

Hello, Candice and welcome!
I remember my dear friend, Andrei Koribanics speaking really highly of your work and, from what Bud has posted, I can see why his praise was, as always, accurate and well deserved.
I've only been among this crowd for a few months and can attest to the facts that it is a highly knowledgeable, inspirational and encouraging, and mostly, NICE gang. No trolls here (well, maybe aesthetically but thankfully we can't really see each other.)
So get set up and rip into a kit!
Cheers from NYC,
Michael
PS And for you guys who keep hailing us all by saying, "hi guys", please realize that Miss Terri now has a sister modeler on board...this is why we who were lucky enough to be born in the South say, "hi y'all"...we cover everyone graciously and regardless of gender.

I remember Andy from the WW1 model site. I saw he passed away this year. Andy was one of those model makers I was inspired by. One day hopefully I can turn out a piece that is 1/2 of what Andy could do. I'm flattered that he spoke highly of my efforts.

Oh yes, how true. Candice, I'm glad another Listee has found their way over here. I am sorry to hear that your Noop didn't work out, I really enjoyed your website with the pics of your progress, your laboratory, etc. I do remember your scale modeling work too.
Glad you're on board. I too am trying to get back in the groove of building too.
