Title: Hello from Florida
Post by: Jimmy on October 25, 2014, 10:49:46 PM
My name is Jimmy.  A lot of folks call me Jim, but I registered on this site as Jimmy to keep my fun world separate from my work world.  We mustn't have our world colliding after all.

I've been building models since I was very little.  My dad got me starting doing that.  I'm sure my first efforts were just blobs of plastic.  Like a lot of modelers I've talked with, I built models up to the time I was in my teens, and then quit building for a while to experience other things life had to offer.  Then I returned to the hobby a few years later.

I build just about everything.  I've even been known to put glue to a car model from time to time.  But it has been a while since I've built a wwi plane.  I just got out some Pfalz kits I was going to start, and I thought this would be a good place to join to ask the questions I know I'll have.

I'm looking forward to the journey.

Welcome, Jimmy!
I also used to live in Florida - 6 years as a Flight Instructor in Crystal River (now on Cape Cod). Feel free to ask away, you'll find no friendlier or more helpful people anywhere else!

Ian

Welcome aboard, Jimmy!  Glad you found us.  As a kid, I spent all my summers in Largo, Pinellas County, with my aunt and cousins.  Lovely state.
Cheers,
Bud

I have been to America five times but never to Florida, it is on my "must do" list.
