This build was highly influenced by Umlaufmotors hugely successful creation of the same kit. A lot of techniques he employed where duplicated here. Again some of yiou may have seen this already, so sorry about that.

She is a beauty Andy , I really like how your black turned out ;D

Brave man to go with a black paint scheme!
But you've nailed it, a good looking model.
-
Great model of a lovely aircraft. Fine tone differences in the overall black finish! Congratulations!
-
What isn't there to like? It's a Pfalz!
Excellent!

Wonderful presentation of this aircraft. The paint finish is really fantastic and the overall model really convincing.
-
cor, some lovely words here. The black was achieved by over spraying Vallejo Black Grey over the masked ribs

An over all black finish is not so easy to make it "look's real", but as "@ Dekenba" said: You nailed it!!
Very well done ;)

Very nice representation of the all-black scheme, Andy, but the exhaust is what really gets my attention. It is 150% real in appearance, can you comment on how you did it?
Cheers,
Lance

I copied Umlaufmotor basically! Using Mr Metalcote colours, it was wither iron with dark iron splodges using a dry stubby brush (or was it the other way around?) I then used rust powders. Bertl, can you clarify this. I added your build to my favourites page, but of course, at the moment it's not available so I cannot refer to it. Can you help me on this?

Wow! Who would have thought a WWI aeroplane could look sexy! Bravo on the entire build but, as others have already said, the exhaust is extremely well done. And, black is a bear of a tone to work with but you have tamed it. Bravo!
Makes me want to build a Pfalz.
Cheers from NYC,
Michael

Ditto to all the above !

Beautiful Pfalz, Andy! I am a sucker for the black schemes,
and yours is sublime. Excellent "colour" variations. It is
just too good, my friend! :D
Cheers,
Ernie :)
