Title: Fueling an RNAS Sopwith Pup
Post by: Michael Scarborough on October 15, 2014, 11:11:39 AM
Hello, all,

What would the procedure have been for fueling a Pup that was based on board a ship?

I swear I saw a photo of a mechanic on a ladder pouring fuel from a can with a goose neck spout into a Pup, but can now not find the photo. Does this scenario make sense?

Any ideas?

Cheers from NYC,
Michael

These photos might give you a few ideas on how the aircraft was refuelled using cans and a funnel, hope it helps.
