Title: After Market parts for the WnW Pup?
Post by: Michael Scarborough on October 06, 2014, 03:00:09 AM
Hello all,

I am waiting for the paint to dry on WnW Pup #1 and am proceeding on to WnW Pup #2.

Does anyone make an aftermarket throttle? A few more builds down the line I will be working to scratch build parts but, for now, I'm just wondering if there is anything made that is a tad more crisp than the WnW part. I'm still amazed at the number of cottage industry folks out there making after market parts and am sure I am missing many of them.

I'm working from Jamo's superb TVAL Pup photos as well as following Des' build log. I've ordered turnbuckles from Gaspatch and am ready to roll.

Cheers from NYC,
Michael

i agree that wnw pup throttle is weak. i used a spare photoetch one that happened to be the right shape and added linkage and whatnot to it and it looked good.

OK, thanks....the PE throttle from HGW looks like a good starting point. I can use it as well as portions of the kit throttle and will follow your lead on adding linkages. All will be well.
