Title: Home-built wing alignment jig
Post by: compressor man on September 29, 2014, 09:02:41 AM
When it came time to attach the top wing on this Encore Se5a I had a lot (an infinite amount would be a better word) of trouble holding everything together to glue the struts straight. I went out to the shop and put this thing together in no time at all. It was a dramatic improvement on the 'by hand' method and I think that once you use it you may consider it almost a must have.

Either that or have a trained octopus around.

Sometimes the most simple of ideas work the best, and this is certainly simplicity at its best, great idea.

Have you encountered any 'slippage' with the clothes pegs?

Cheers,

No, there is virtually no 'load' on the jig so the clothespins hold just fine.
