Is there someone who can help me. I have Fokker EV # 8480 1:48 but the tail plane is not properly cast.

I have contacted Eduard but they cannot help.
From what I can see the tail plane of Fokker E.V Fokker DR.I are alike.
Should there be one who has both Eduard Fokker EV and Eduard Fokker DR.I there could check if they are the same and may be willing to sell one set of tail planes (There is 2set in DR.I kits).
Best regards

Hi Henning
What exactly did Eduard give for a reason why they could not help you. If they produce a faulty product they are legally bound to replace it for you. If they can't be bothered with customer support the forum would be a good place to mention it. Cheers
cheers
Andrew
By the way you could probably repair the faulty part with some plasticard and filler

I got this from Eduard.:
I only received the replacements from the component stock yesterday. Unfortunately, they didnt suply your replacement, becuase its not on stock anymore. So I am sorry, we wont be able to provide a new sprue in this case.
I have asked if they could replace it with the tail from DR.I and got this answer.:
ok, the parts from 8161 shouldnt be a problem, if the kit is still on stock. I will add the request to our system and as soon as I recieve the parts from our component stock, I will let you know about the dispatch of the parcel.
But now there has gone 14 days with out any respons, there fore I was thinking if some one in here could help.
Els I will give it a try with Plastic Card.

Looking at the damaged part it would be quite an easy fix. Just cut out a square section, like on the photo, make a template from the opposite elevator then flip it over and place it under the cut-out section, mark the size then cut, glue into place and when dry sand to shape and thickness.

I think fixing is a better choice than using the DR1 tail. Although similar they are not the same exact shape or size.
