Very highly recommended. Well researched, plenty of depth, very readable and interesting.
Describes the early pre-war history of aviation, it's use early in WWI and it's development across all belligerents. Factually very accurate, it includes the development of aircraft & the move away from balloons and dirigibles.
Not an aeroplane book, although it does discuss types and specific aircraft in a chapter, but not in great depth. Photo's are few. It is more of a development of tactics and strategy analysis.
