This question may have already been posted and, if so, I apologize for the redundancy. I thought it would be fun to see where we all stand on this issue. So, what say ye?
Cheers,
Bud

I'd go with the LVG.

Although I have every one in the list, I am not qualified to answer :-D (unless drooling over the sprues counts)
-
Well Mines not there so I can't vote ;D
It may seem surprisingly not one of the Albatrossen or the long awaited D.VII's but the Rumpler early.
Keith
-
Sorry, Keith! It was there when I set this up, but somehow disappeared. The Rumpler is now back on the list.
Cheers,
Bud

I must agree with, Bo! If it came down to tickling the sprues, all of them!
Love the Pfalz, but everyone who knows me will know it's my favourite Scout.

Having built 8 and storing 2 more in my stash I have voted for FEE!
-
LVG ?
I really think the first releases, despite a few little flaws, all deserve recognition for the ground they broke, as does the Gotha. They redefined WWI aircraft kits and modelling 8)
I have to totally agree, I could build D.V & D.Vs's till my fingers fall off.
-
We all know which one is my !

Bud, I went with what I consider to be the best ENGINEERED kit of the few I have built. Had I chosen my favorite it would have been the Albatros DV, or perhaps the DVII. Instead I went with the Snipe 8)

The Bristol F.2b Fighter wins hands down, it is a superb kit, superb detail and easy to build. (IMO)

I had to go Gotha, just because. I do agree with the point made about the first four kits; ground breaking, revolutionary, setting a new standard in so many ways.
But the Gotha is.....
-
My only issue with WnW kits are the overly fine tolerances when fitting cockpit assemblies to fuselages but when I built the LVG C.VI, I didn't experience any difficulties at all, so it gets my vote as their best effort yet.
Cheers,
Chris
Oops! I didn't see the survey which doesn't include my choice. Sorry about that.
-
I ended up voting for the Albatros (what a surprise) because encountering a certain Bertl's epic build of same is what finally drew me back to the hobby after 40 years... with a vengeance. And the kit has kept me entertained me for over two years now... not a bad investment of $60 right? ;) ;D
-
Bo, is it really my fault that you build models again after an 40 years break? :o
Cool, I'm proud of myself.
Your absolutely superb built Albatros is proof why I am proud.
So, I voted for the Fokker D.VII.
I am absolutely not a very big fan of this aircraft. I do not particularly like this bird from the optical side.
But, the team from the WNW has worked perfectly well here in my eyes.
- Extremely well researched.
- Excellent molded in plastic (note the extremely fine tubular steel frame of the cockpit and nose section).
- All variations to built.
- Excellent Decals, inclusive of all ZAK-stamp etc..
But I'm sure the Halberstadt CL.II will raise the bar even higher ....... ;D

I voted for the Snipe.
It's the only one I've finished so far so I can't really comment on the rest, but it's pretty much flawless. The most enjoyable kit I have ever built.

It's okay, Chris. The LVG is a popular choice and rightfully so. I didn't include it (or the W.29, or the RE8) simply because they are no longer available and the true, selfish reason for this poll is to help me, and others who have recently jumped on the WNW band wagon, decide which kit to buy next. So, to be fair, I'll amend the poll to include those 3.
Cheers,
Bud

The Pfalz 12 has been the least popular, most underrated, best fitting and most fun yet for me!
-
Too hard to boil down to one. Of my builds I would have to pick the Eindecker. Iconic. Accurate. No-issue build. And, I also like the FE. I am very sorry to have missed on the Harry Tate though.
-
Gotta go with the Gotha.
-
Bristol for me.
But, unlike Hasegawa or Trumpeter, WNW keep very high standards & every one of their kits are superb.
-
Well Bud, I unfortunately have built only a couple of WnW kits, so to me it came down
to the Pup or the Pfalz D.IIIa. As much as I love both as lovely little aeroplanes, I went
with the Pfalz. You will have to run this poll again in about 30 years when I have gone
through my stash. ;) ;D
Cheers,
Ernie :)

I had to go with the LVG simply because...uhh...it's the only WNW kit I've built so far. ::)

I am a big fan of the a/c , thus my vote, but also included in that decision is your other points so perfectly stated Bertl.
