Hello, my name is Franz from Vancouver, Canada. I wanted to post my introduction long ago, but work and studies kept me busy. I'm an accountant and married with two kids. From time to time I try to juggle my passion for WWI aircraft modeling with my busy life. All started like 10 years ago, when we had most in 1/48 and 1/75 short run scale models available in the market and got interested in those striking colorful German patterns. Nowadays, this hobby fortunately is expanding to 1/32 scale, with state of the art model offerings.
As a newbie, I'm kind of shy to start bigger projects like WNW kits (which I owned more than 10 kits) , but as my learning curve thrives I want to begin easy projects first. Currently. I'm working on a 1/48 Breguet 14A2 in French markings. I foresee to finish my project by the end of August. Afterwards, I want to tackle 1/72 scale French marking Nieuport 17.
Finally I want to thank to the senior members of this forum for sharing their valuable modeling techniques. And to Des, for setting up this formidable forum, which allows us to share our passion for this hobby. Cheers for all WWI fellow modelers'!!

Help Franz and welcome. Good luck with the Breguet. Like you, I've a collection of WnW models that I'm waiting to get under way. Until now I've focused on 1/48, but very soon now I'll make the changeover.
Best wishes
Nigel

Hi Franz,
Don't be afraid to get stuck into one of your WNW kits - you will find them easier to build than 1/48 and 1/72 stuff!

Welcome from the Mountains of North Carolina USA! I look forward to seeing your work. You mentioned a 1/48th Breguet 14. Is that the High Tech kit? If so you will have no trouble with any of the 1/32nd builds be they Roden, Special Hobby, A Model, or WNW 8)
