Hello everbody,
Glad to be a part of this lovely forum--I am an occasional R/C modeler and am focusing more on plastic right now.  The WNW kits have certainly captured my interest.  I've built them all from 1/72 to 1/4 scale (I mean 3"=1') but am settling onto 1/32 as a reasonable size for my situation.  Not much room for big models!

I've just built the Pfalz D.XII from WNW, but it's just a fuselage with tarp covering up the cockpit, engine and guns--I'm creating a diorama with either a railcar or 1913 Mercedes showing how planes got moved from the rail depot to the aerodrome.  An ongoing project!  I'll post photos soon of the plane.  Looks funny with the tarp...

Welcome aboard, Lyle.  I practically grew up on Clearwater Beach.  I lived in the Philadelphia area and had relatives in Largo.  I spent every summer with them from 1960 to 1968.  One of the fnest beaches on Earth.  I'm really looking forward to seeing you Pfalz D.XII dio.

Thanks for all the good wishes, guys!  Great to see such a good group of fellow aeroplane lovers--Bud, I was born and grew up in Tampa, but moved to Clearwater when I got married at 43.  I really like it here, but it sure has changed a lot in Pinellas county since the 60s.  Traffic really stinks now!
My profession is that of classical cellist, just trying to make a living.  Tough here in the summer, but almost too busy in the fall and winter.  Modeling tends to get shoved aside for that...

Belated hello and welcome Lyle, your diorama sounds interesting - looking forward to seeing the pics!! (hopefully with a railcar ;D)
I've some good friends who, as a family, play classical cello. The two (teenage) girls in the family are quite talented, are in youth orchestra's and get invites to cello master classes. They are about to head off to live in Vienna for the next couple of years so that should be a great opportunity for them!!
