Title: Albatros D.III Oeffag s.153 - Roden 1/72

Hi

Albatros D.III is one of my favourite I WW planes. Till now I managed to build only this one, but three more are waiting to be built.
It was my first plastic biplane I have ever built. I decided on paint scheme of Polish pilot Stefan Stec (during I World War he served in Austro-Hungarian army). I made rigging like in my 1/33 card models: I have put small rings of wire in wings, and bound line to them. It is not good technique for this scale, but then it was only one that I knew.
For now this is the last of my galleries. My next topic will be building report I think;-)

More first class modelling. Do show us some builds as I am sure that many of us could learn much from you.

Lovely! From just looking at the pictures of the model, I would not have been able to guess the scale. Your mottled camouflage is about the best I have seen.

Very finely build Roden's Albatros! And the leaf camouflage is top class, indeed!

Another truly outstanding model.  The paint work is really interesting.  This model of Albatros is an interesting variant, too bad there isn't one available in 1/32nd.  You did an outstanding job on this one.
