Title: Fokker E.V x 2 - card models 1/33
Post by: Piotr D. on May 21, 2014, 06:41:59 PM
Hi

This time something bigger than 1/72. Fokker E.V is one of my favourite planes of I world war, especially because handful of this planes were used by Polish Air Force during polish-bolshevik war, and were first Polish fighter aircrafts. Also the first air victory during polish-bolshevik war was claimed with Fokker E.V over Ukrainian Nieuport.

This model was published by "Kartonowa Kolekcja" in 2012. I made it shortly after it was published, and used gun barrels produced by Master (http://www.master-model.pl/).

This model is little older, was published by "Maly Modelarz" in 1998. Gun barrels by Master were also used here.

Amazing work and result Piotr!  Looks like an Avis plastic kit very well-made. ;D  Beautiful!  I have  a couple of paper card model kits, but I fnd them very intimidating. :o  Your model looks fantastic!  What did you use for the tires?  Nice use of the Master Spandaus, BTW. :D  Very nicely done.

Cheers,

Bob

Piotr,
Very nice, it's hard to believe that these are "Card" Models. Looking forward to seeing some of your plastic Builds as well.
Cheers,
Lance

Those are by a very long way the best card models that I have seen. I could have easily believed that they were plastic. Wonderful colour schemes too - not seen very often and very striking in the use of colour. Brilliant all round.

Piotr,
Like the others, I am impressed by the stunning quality of your card models! They are truly works of art in a medium that seems difficult to say the least!

Ditto. Every card model I've ever seen before looks exactly like what it is - card. These are gorgeous. Very well done indeed!

Thanks for nice comments:-) If you don't mind I'll post few more galleries of my card models.

What did you use for the tires?

I used o-rings on the first Fokker. Second one has cardboard wheels.
