I could swear I saw fabric texture decals somewhere but now I can't seem to locate them. I think they were clear decals with a fabric pattern to apply over either painted surfaces or lozenge decals.
Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Check out Great War in the hobby shop section

Microsculpt.com makes full sheets of the stuff (vs. small panels --HGW)

Microsculpt do/did offer fabric texture decals. I went to find their website just now but it seems to have ceased to be. Anyone know more?

HGW makes 1/32 fabric texture decals.

Does anyone make fabric decals for 1/48?
-
I think that the HGW decals are useable for 1:48.

I`m pretty sure I saw some of the Microsculpt Sheets on EBay a few months ago, might be worth checking there. Although the Microsculpt Product is labelled for 1:48 Scale several of us here use it for 1:32 and it looks fine.

MicroSculpt is still in business in a limited way. I just got 1/48 fabric decals a few months ago. Send an email using the address on the website about ordering. I think they look great.

Without going into particulars I have to say my last experience with Microsculpt left me with the distinct impression that he was winding the business down... and if so, too bad; it was/is a good product.
Looking forward to seeing what Richard is up to with the linen decals... ;)

Looks like Microsculpt's site is back up now. Just went there today.
