Title: Albatros fighters strut color
Post by: vincentm on May 11, 2014, 10:46:32 AM
I made a quick search on the forum but didn't find anything related.
Are the struts light grey/green or natural metal?

I believe that all of the Albatros built ones were the grayish green, slightly greener than RLM 02 as based on D.VA Stropp at the NASM.  Of course Austro Hungarian were different, I believe that on the natural linen and unpainted wood ones the struts were painted black.  This would be to prevent rust I assume, I cannot recall any metal struts that were left natural metal.
