le time to work on the model . In the last two weeks I had plenty of time to complete the Fokker EIII for the Flight 19 Model contest which was held on 3-15-14 .

Wow, that aluminum cowl effect is outstanding! Do you mind sharing the colors and the technique that you used on it?

Thanks for all the great remarks . I am glad everyone like`s the Fokker ! It now sits safe in the cabinet with the Fokker DVII :).

     Chris,

I used Tamiya German gray  two different shades and the same  technique Des shows on  how to pre-shade the wings on the home page on this site  . then for the stains I used clear smoke  .
                                                                                                               Thanks ,

                                                                                                                              Willi

nice job, i really like the cowl too. we all use the same basic technique but excellence is in the hands of the artist. this is not an easy effect to master , it looks great.

Hello Willi:

Congrats on your first place with the Eidecker.  It really looks the business.  As Rick mentioned, the turned cowling, sets it off nicely, just an all around great job.  The sublte staining with smoke is a nice touch.  I will have to try that, thanks for posting and sharing.
Best

Mark
