Thanks Chris for the cool link, considering it is made from blocks it doesn't look that bad, maybe we will see a whole range of WW1 aircraft built with Lego.

Hey, if WnW won't give us a Camel, I'm pretty sure that I could build this one. :P

I've been "pining" for some news of a Camel from WNW ever since they joined the market several years back; a good Camel kit is presently a big gap in the available inventory. The Hobbycraft kits and their derivatives don't come close to a WNW or even Roden offering which doesn't seem to be in the cards presently. Does TVAL have any project(s) in the making; seems that often drives WNW towards a subject?
Back to reality, any thoughts/experience out there with the "good versions" of the Hobbycraft kits? If I recall from previous discussions there are versions (Kit Numbers??) that are at least workable if some effort is applied and you can find one.

My daughter has several lego models, that get built once and displayed, rather than played with. These include a Taj Mahal (6000 pieces almost) and a Tower Bridge, amongst others. These kits are for sale for a limited time, so increase in value even if opened and built.
Unlike a plastic kit, these can be built repeatedly!
I will probably get one of these...

So tempting...
but I'd have to take a WnW all the way, I probably could get so much time from them to be honest.
I once picked up the old lego dreidecker model for $40 dollars on special from Toy r us, money well spent, though it's now presently in bits.

8 or 10 years ago we got our son the LEGO Fokker Dr.1. It was big and pretty cool but without the functioning controls. He built it as a triplane, got bored and built is as a monoplane and then a biplane. Now it's just parts in a big bin o LEGOS.

That Lego tripe is sought after by the collectors. Something to consider if you still have the instructions/parts list. ;)

Well, they finally come out with a kit I can handle!!!! ;D

I got this for my daughter at christmas, not a bad model at all considering this is made of lego bricks! The blue elastic bands that sit on the wheel rims have slipped off just before the pics were taken.
