Welcome :)
Ok. Finally done:) It was pleasure to build this one but the burden of not having enough time to focus myself on this project was really considerable. Each time when was assembling MS type N one question bothered me so much: How was it possible to flight such a freaky machine?! Frightening but beautiful..

What's this, what's this, K? A freaky machine? I love it and some made it an effective fighting machine . But anyway, I think you have done a wonderful job on it.
Best wishes with tongue in cheek,
Nigel

A fantastic job - all the more considering the scale.
An all round "well done" from me.

This is one of my favorite aeroplanes and you certainly have done it justice, beautiful paint job and a great scheme, congratulations on a fantastic build and for showing us a brilliant Morane Saulnier Type N.

fantastic job on a sweet little kit, the only other thing i woulda done was to paint the logos on the side of the cowl. it should be brass with a dark blue background as per the link below:
http://www.theaerodrome.com/forum/models/53151-morane-saulnier-cowl-logo.html
-
Any other evidence of a blue background to the logo? The discussion you linked to is pretty ambiguous.
-
Thank you all for all comments. Indeed interesting story with this logo..I will try to amend the letters.
Regards
K

Anybody else not able to see the pictures? I'm reading about heat a great model it is, as expected, so I'd love to see it for myself.
Did the photos get moved to a new folder on Photobucket?

...and there they are! Beautiful work! Well worth the wait.

as far as i know this is the general concencus, rather what ive seen and heard done in the ww1 aero circle. i know ive seen it in print somewhere. i will have a look and see if i can get you some more documentation. i can say in photos it looks to be brass at least not painted in the cowl color.

heres what i found in a quick search:

http://www.wwi-models.org/app/album/Acn.php?base=%2FImages%2FIvanec%2FAllied&hdr=Allied+Aircraft&picInx=0
an excerpt from a build:
Morane-Saulnier logos from the kit were first painted Prussian blue and lightly sanded to highlight the brass, as these items were brass on the real planes and not silver.
this is how the kit box art shows it too:

do i know for a fact, sadly no. but its how most guys portray it that model them. i didnt mean you had to change yours, just said thats bout the only diff btw my builds and yours.
