Hi everyone,
I'm looking to buy a 1/48 Gavia Albatros D.I. I'd actually like to have two of these kits for an Albatros project I'm working on. PM me here if you have one you'd like to part with.
Many, many thanks,
Mark

why are they hard to find now? i have at least 2 but i dont want to get rid of either, unless i have a 3rd. i knew the gavia pfalz was getting sorta scarce but didnt realise this one was too.

Do you know that the Gavia kit is just a re-boxed Eduard DII with an additional strut sprue? Unless you particularly want the triangular centre struts then the Eduard kit has everything (just shorten the interplane struts) and has better PE.
Excellent info Red, much appreciated!

Karaya makes a D.I conversion kit for the 1/48 Eduard D.II kit. It includes all cabane and interplane struts plus a small decal sheet for two or three D.I types.

Thanks Barry!

what justin said is true the eduard d.ii kit is the same as the gavia d.1 kit except the gavia kit includes the longer interplanes and the "A" frame center(easily scratched both) or else like barry says the converions. but as i understood you have 2 inbound so point is moot.
