I just received 2 Encore Models in the Mail today..:
Albatros D.V and Pfalz D.III "Blue Max"
Both are Encore's "Econo Kits" and in 1/72 scale..
They look good, the detail on the engines is well done me thinks...
I am looking forward to building them sometime in the Future..
Anybody here built either kit and might have some pointers or opinions about the kits??? I'd welcome any and all feedback... :D

Are these former Roden?

yes they are rodens plastic with new decals. i heard thet the plan is to release the roden 1/32 pfalz in blue max scheme, the resin extras and photoetch will be present as well. thats gonna be nice.

Now that would be something alright.I'd like to see a Blue Max Tripe as well.

I love the Encore 1/32 kits - good basic Roden kit with really excellent set of colour PE, well researched instruction booklet & painting guide and really good decals. Also comes with lovely resin replacement parts, but also with the original plastic parts if you'd prefer those.
I find them incredibly good value. Certainly not as easy to build as WNW, but the PE & resin parts more than offsets that disadvantage in my opinion.
Builds a superb model straight out of the box, saving a small fortune in AM stuff.
I really can't recommend them enough, especially as you can find a 1/32 Encore kit for around £30 or less if you are patient.
