Hi everyone,
I've got my hands on the new Austro-Daimler 120PS Aero Engine in 1:16 scale by Wiener Modellbau Manufactur. This beauty of a kit is designed and produced by Peter Plattner. It's a multi-media kit that that contains resin, photo-etch, CNC milled push rods and detail wire. Here are some pictures............

That is an incredibly detailed kit which would be a real challenge to build to the standard of Peter Plattner. However I am sure that you can do it too and I look forward to seeing this one go together.

I certainly agree with you there!
Thanks for checking in.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what you do with your engine Mark.

Thanks Des. I've got the razor saw out right now.

Mark,
I am looking forward to seeing what you do with this one!

PS: Is there going to be a 1/16th scratchbuilt aircraft to go with it :D
-
What a cool kit, Mark! I'm going to enjoy watching this build. I hope Peter will consider applying his remarkable talents to a series of 1/32 scale Austro Hungarian resin aircraft kits.
Cheers,
Bud
-
You are gonna' have fun with that one ;)
Will keep watching

Thanks Rick, Bud and Dave!
I've got the engine block, magnetos and cylinders cleaned up and ready for priming. I'll post pics when I get the cylinders painted.

Yes, please do. I am really interested to see the quality of those parts.

G'day, Mark.
Like the others, I'm looking forward to following this build.
Will you be building a Phönix C.1 for it? ;)
Cheers.
Dal.

Gad that's a scary amount of parts, Dal. I cringe just thinking of how many
of the little beggars I could lose. ;) Carry on, my friend, I am looking forward
to your build. Interesting project.
Cheers,
Ernie :)

Thanks guys.
@ - Steffan - There is some cleaning up to do on some of the parts with some seam lines, about the same you would have to do with a resin figure.
@ - Dal - I would be all over a Phönix C.I, love that bird.
@ - Ernie - Thanks! We are having a cold snap here where I live and it's hard getting any airbrushing done but I should have something to post soon.
