Martin
-
Hello Martin,
As Rick said, excellent rigging. I like the color very much. Great build Martin!
Kind regards
Patrick
-
Beautiful Pfalz, Martin. I'm sorry but I have to ask...are the white speckles supposed
to be there? I've never seen that before. If so, it is really quite a neat paint scheme. :)
Cheers,
Ernie :)
-
Thank you Patrick.
Ernie only the side rudder is White. The rest seems white like light is on it. Two lamps are on for the photo.
Martin
-
Oh that explains it! Thanks, Martin. I saw a paint scheme, an Albatros, I think, with
little white stars on a black background and I thought this was a variation on that theme.
How can you not like basic black? ;) :)
Cheers,
Ernie :)
-
If the decals on the model is you see it better. It would be Degelows D IIIa.
Martin
-
Hello Martin:
This is coming along nicely. I like the schemes you have chosen. I am doing Berthold's DIII.a using the WNW kit and decals. I did the DIII.a. in Degelows scheme with the white tail feathers and lozenge wings. Yours is turning out nicley and I look forward to seeing you progress to completion.
Best
Mark
-
Thank you Mark. Like a picture are the wings of Degelows aircraft black.

Nigel
-
Thank you Mark. Like a picture are the wings of Degelows aircraft black.
Martin
Hi Martin:
Degelow flew with a couple of squadrons. The one you are doing is simliar to the one I did. The markings you are doing are when he was with Jasta 7 and the lower wing was the early type, the other was when he was with Jasta 40, (Pheon sheet 32025) the wings had lozenge, the lower had the rounded wing tips and a totally white tail area to include the tail plane and elevator. I like the way this is turningout.
